Herb Walks 2019
Herb Walks 2019
We are blessed to live in one of the most biologically rich areas in the world, from wetlands and estuaries to coastal scrub and chaparral to grasslands and redwood forests. Each ecosystem fosters a diversity of edible and medicinal plants that have been used as food and medicine for time immemorial. Learn to identify our abundance of California native plants and wild weeds and explore their mythology as well as their culinary and medicinal uses.
Join us on one excursion or come to them all. These walks are at an easy pace and suitable for all ages. Bring a notepad and pen, snacks and water and appropriate outdoor attire. Learn to see the world around you with a new understanding and a deeper connection to the natural world.
Herb walks begin at 10am sharp and run around 3 hours long.
All proceeds go towards scholarships for our educational programs and clinic services to low income and under-served people in the Bay Area.
