Get started fermenting vegetables in your home kitchen in this hands-on workshop. You’ll learn the basics of lacto-fermentation and make your own sauerkraut and fermented veggies to take home. We will discuss the connection between good gut health and mental well-being, as well as the benefits of fermented foods and recommended supplies.
Workshop participants will have the opportunity to sample a variety of gourmet ferments with recipes to make at home.
Jessica Ross is a Therapeutic Chef and owner of Mission Nourish, a meal delivery service for postpartum mothers, illness recovery, and dietary challenges. After managing her own recurring hormonal health challenges and supporting her sister through a major health crisis with healing foods, she was inspired to empower other people to take ownership of their health through cultivating supportive eating habits. She loves exploring new fermentation recipes, and always has a rotating collection of bubbling jars in her kitchen.
COST: $40. A $15 materials fee (cash only please) will be collected by the instructor at class.
